Spring training has started.
Come and join us!
The Amoskeag Rugby Club has a women’s rugby team and we are looking for more players. The team is open to new and experienced players.
We are practicing now for this season! It is never too late to join us. Practices are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 at YDC on North River Road in Manchester. If you are interested in joining the team or learning more about women’s rugby, please contact Brigit Ryan-Souza at AmoskeagWomen@yahoo.com.
The Amoskeag Rugby Club is New Hampshire’s oldest rugby program. Formed in 1984, the rugby club currently runs a highly competitive men’s program and a boy’s under-19 team. Amoskeag is the successor to the Concord Rugby Club, which brought the sport of rugby to the Merrimack Valley in the 1970’s. “Concord also had a women’s rugby program, which dissolved in the early 1980’s,” said Amoskeag Rugby president Mark Broth. “Amoskeag is pleased to be able to help bring women’s rugby back to this area. The Amoskeag Womens team started in 2009.
