Spring training has started.
Come and join us!
The Amoskeag Rugby Club has a women’s rugby team and we are looking for more players. The team is open to new and experienced players. Indoor fitness training is currently being held on Monday and Thursday at NLP in Manchester beginning at 7:30 p.m.
At the end of March, we will move outdoors for training. Practices will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 at YDC on North River Road in Manchester. The spring season will be starting soon. If you are interested in joining the team or learning more about women’s rugby, please contact Brigit Ryan-Souza at AmoskeagWomen@yahoo.com.
The Amoskeag Rugby Club is New Hampshire’s oldest rugby program. Formed in 1984, the rugby club currently runs a highly competitive men’s program and a boy’s under-19 team. Amoskeag is the successor to the Concord Rugby Club, which brought the sport of rugby to the Merrimack Valley in the 1970’s. “Concord also had a women’s rugby program, which dissolved in the early 1980’s,” said Amoskeag Rugby president Mark Broth. “Amoskeag is pleased to be able to help bring women’s rugby back to this area.
