Scholarship Application
The Thomas V. Moser, M.D. Scholarship was developed in conjunction with the New Hampshire Rugby Football Foundation (a non-profit organization) to honor the memory and ideals of Dr. Thomas Moser. Dr. Moser was a person who believed in helping people who were willing to work to better their individual situations.
Dr. Moser was an exceptional and versatile athlete. A Florida All-State high school football selection, he went on to play football at Brown University. As a student at the University of Texas, he discovered rugby and became a top level player throughout the United States and on tours of England, Ireland, and France. He was captain of the Boston Rugby Club from 1981-1982 and later a player and team physician for the Amoskeag Rugby Club. In addition to the Amoskeag and Boston clubs, he played for teams in Lille (France), Philadelphia, New York City (Old Blue RFC), and Washington, D.C. while completing his medical and post-doctoral training. He was selected to the USA Eagles (USA National Rugby Team), Eastern Rugby Union All-Star Team, and was a long-time player for the New England Select Side. From 1988 to 1994 he played for America's Team, a team of USA Masters (over 35) players competing in the Bermuda World Rugby Classic Tournament against international teams. He was also a formidable skier and dedicated cyclist.
